Determination - A Power Buster for Success

January 6th, 2009

There are many simple things available in lives which have the power to completely transform our life. They could not only change our life but also have the power to change other lives. They are some of the initial ingredients for success. One of them is determination. More strong is the determination of a person more successful he will be in life. 95% of the people who fail in life mostly lacks in a strong determination to succeed.

The people who succeed in life are not extraordinary human beings. They are as simple like us; however they are highly determined towards their goal. Determination provides us with a strong force which helps us in conquering our goals. Many talents fail in this world because they do not have strong determination required for success. It is very difficult in this world to succeed if we do not have determination.

A strong determination could transform a fool into a smart and a lazy into a hard worker. It is very difficult to stop people who have strong determination from their goals. They are so aggressive that they can change the flow of fast currents. If a person has determination then he will learn all the things required for success himself. It is the determinations of some patients for life which cure diseases like cancer.

Some say it’s miracles but actually it is the determination of that person. Determination plays a major role in all the fields of life. It helps us to make our relations successful, it helps us to fight with injustice, and it helps us to fight the world. We could judge people well if we could be able to judge their determination. More strong are the determinations more unstoppable will be the person.

Merely 38 Minutes Trip from Santiago’s International Airport Is to Be Found Stupendous Ski Fields

January 5th, 2009

Skiing in Argentina? What type of destination is that? Isn’t Patagonia mainly about jungles than about snowboarding? Genuinely no. South America is a continent which stretches from the equator down to Patagonia not far from the north of Antarctica. By the backbone of South America are found the Andes. They’re one of the most grand ranges in the cosmos and moreover as the chain transits the tropical zone, the mountains are still covered in snow and the alps in summer are just as stunning . So why not choose it as a different destination for your company’s ski break.

S. America’s best skiing resorts are found in Argentina with fantastic skiing deals. Amongst the center of both of these countries one is able to find a lot of skiing areas. The most illustrious snowboarding town in Argentina is named by some Mini Schweiz and if one pay a visit you’ll suppose you are in Switzerland with the gorgeous Swiss barns. The snowboarding mountain has chalets, a restaurant, shops, and everything to insure a great snowboarding vacation. The most famous ski resort in South America is in Chile. Placed scarcely 30 m from the Santiago International Airport one can make it with a fast ride having flown in direct from a lot of cities as well as London, Geneva, Zurich, Stockholm and Berlin.

Small Business Website Design - How to Get Professional Results on a Shoestring Budget

January 4th, 2009

Just because you are a small business with an even smaller website design budget, does not mean that you cannot have a professional looking website and presence on the web. All it means is you will have to do some of the work yourself instead of paying some design firm to do it for you. Amazingly enough, self designed pages from small business owners who did their research frequently end up being better and more focused than professionally designed pages. Consider the following suggestions when designing your own website.

Suggestion #1 - URL

First of all, your URL is very important and since it is the address to your website and what everyone will use to find your place on the web you need to put some careful consideration and thought into it. You don’t want to come up with a URL that already exists as a .com and register it as a .tv. If you do this, you will just lose customers to the com. Likewise, you don’t want to register a URL that has nothing to do with your website or content either. Be thoughtful and register a URL that pertains to your services or products, is as short as possible, and is spelled easily.

Suggestion #2 - Host

The next thing you must do is find a web host. Since you are on a shoestring budget you will be tempted to save money and go with a free host. Do not do this. Do anything you have to do to convince yourself that free is not always better because in this case it is not. Frequently the free sites don’t get indexed by the search engines, they don’t provide much space or bandwidth, and since they are free you can’t do too much about it when the site is down or you went over your visitor limit. Instead, find an affordable host and there are many for under $10 per month, offer decent bandwidth, storage space, e-mail services, as well as other tools you need.

Suggestion #3 - Professional Templates

When it comes to designing your site, many hosts have tutorials and wizards that will help you do so. However, you will want your site to be as professional as possible so keep this in mind when choosing colors and the like. Also, use professional templates that you can buy or download for free online. They will give you the professional appearance you want for free.

Suggestion #4 - Text

When it comes to loading text on your website make sure you break it up into small chunks, use bold words, bullets, numbers, and anything else that you can think of to make it more readable. Avoid small fonts, light colors, or strange texts. Also, remember that the search engines use keywords in your text to return results, so be sure to include keywords in your text as well.

Make Your Web Site Stand Out

January 4th, 2009

When visitors add your web site to their Favorites or bookmark your site, what shows up in their list of sites? There are at least two things you can do to make sure your site stands out on anyone’s list of Favorites, including a great idea that very few sites use. If you have a webmaster, he or she should be able to make these changes quickly, and those who maintain their own sites can easily handle these simple tasks.

First, make sure each page of your site has a good title. When you view your site in Internet Explorer or Netscape, what shows up at the very top of the screen? If it says “Home Page” or, even worse, “Untitled,” that is what visitors will see when they include your site in their Favorites. Use “title” tags and add a title that describes the page.

And here’s the thing very few sites do: Add a favicon file so that next to your site title in the Favorites list (and in the address bar when they go to your site) your logo appears instead of the ubiquitous Internet Explorer logo. (In Netscape, your logo will only appear in the address bar. The Netscape bookmark icon will be next to your site name in the bookmark file.) This is easy and quick and adds a real professional touch to your site. To see what I mean, take a look at my site. Go to http://www.IdeaLady.com/ and click on “Bookmark this page.” (Netscape users, press Ctrl + D.) Then, open your favorites file and click on the IdeaLady link. You should see my lightbulb logo next to the title in your Favorites list (in IE) and next to the URL in the Address Bar (Netscape and IE).

For a good how-to article about creating your own favicon, go to http://www.webdevelopersjournal.com/articles/favicon.html. There is software called Irfanview that can easily create the favicon.ico file for you. Download it free (commercial users are asked to send $10) at http://www.irfanview.com/ It is easy to use, and can be used for a variety of graphics functions, in addition to creating your favicon.ico file.

Make your site stand out from the rest!

Would you like to purchase a new bathroom and desire 10000 euro

January 3rd, 2009

A merchant bank in Folsom California or so may have a total different actual rate for a 5000 dollar deferred payment then a moneylender in Barnstable Massachusetts and that makes a big clear gap in your monthly pay offs. 5.5 percent loan rate may come along so average but will it stay unvarying after you’re going to pay for your money loan.

Investigate to see if the bank who wants to give you a credit loan is trustworthy. That’s the reason why now you really need to check out and check if you can have a loan at a secure percent rate of interest. Be promising today to inspect if you have a nice offer or if you don’t with the merchant bank that offers you a money loan. At this present you can check into rates of interest quickly on the internet and visit if there are possible traps you should know about. It makes no difference if you live in Lima Ohio or in Charleston South Carolina a serious online analysis will prohibit you often lots of anguish. Many of the merchant banks wil show you a interest rate that is looking estimable but doesn’t feel advantageously or so after some time.

Understanding Search and Design Leads to Better Search Engine Results

January 1st, 2009

The problem, however, is that many Web designers still cannot grasp the purity of Google’s laser-like approach to search. It is the purity of this search that connects Web sites to one another.

Let’s look at a case study of a public relations agency.

Design Matters
In the case of Virginia-based Rourk Public Relations, www.rourkpr.com, the challenge was to communicate with potential clients using just the right balance of text content and Web graphics. Using Google as a search engine benchmark during the design phase, a good Web site designer understands that Google uses text content to index or list a Web site in the appropriate category. Another factor is a Web site’s locality. Have you listed your address, city, state, zip and phone with area code in “text form” throughout your Web site? This helps Google determine regional factors as they apply to your search engine ranking. Usually the best place to position this is in the footer or bottom of your Web site.

Rourk Public Relations features a nice balance of graphics and text with ample white space for readability. The design is striking, yet clean and easy to read. A Web site need not fill every inch of white space for the sake of filling up the browser space. If you’re still not convinced, look at Google’s home page.

Content is King
Search engines love content. In the Rourk Public Relations’ web site there is a ‘Team’ section with short bios and pictures. David Rourk, the agency’s president, shared with me that one of his clients found his Web site when searching for the advertising agency Barker Campbell Farley & Mansfield. This search result was due to text within one of his team member’s biographies. Unfortunately, this competitor’s Web site was not found by the user, most likely due to the fact that their Web site is not correctly optimized for search engines.

Write meaningful, informative copy about your business. Write well-formed paragraphs that are error free. Google fine tunes its search algorithm daily. They have teams of coder-programmers who work to make Google 2nd to none in terms of pure search. So don’t write copy for search engines, write copy for your visitors. Talk about your company, your business, what you do.

Copywriters Can Increase Your Search Rankings
Writing great copy is no easy task, so it is well worth the investment to hire a good copywriter that will make your site sing and help elevate it to the first or second page of major search engine rankings. Rourk Public Relations has written copy for several of my Web clients with outstanding results. You may be the brains of your business, but you may not be a wordsmith. Hire a good copywriter. Competition on the Web is tough. You need to put your best foot forward if you want to tap into the billions of dollars that well designed and written Web sites are generating.

You have no doubt seen ads on the Web or in your email titled Top 10 Ranking Now or Drive Tons of Traffic to Your Web Site. Don’t be fooled. There are no short-cuts to driving traffic to your Web site. It takes a keen understanding of search engines through years of study and the correct design and text to get to the top.

Trans Fat: What is it, and Why Your Family Should Avoid It

January 1st, 2009

As of January 2006, the United States government has made it mandatory for all manufacturers to show trans fat content on the Nutrition Facts food label.

What are trans fats, and what role do they play in child nutrition?

Trans fats are made by manufacturing during a process called hydrogenation. Food manufacturers will add hydrogen to oils in order to increase shelf life and improve flavor stability.

You can find trans fats in foods such as vegetable shortenings, some margarines, crackers, cookies, snack foods, and other foods made with or fried in partially hydrogenated oil. You can also sometimes find trans fats occurring naturally in some meats.

It’s been well established that trans fat can increase LDL (bad cholesterol) and increases the risk for heart disease.

There is no daily recommended value for trans fats. Instead, the USDA recommends limiting trans fat intake to as little as possible.

You should always look at the Nutrition Facts food labels when shopping. Make sure that you try to keep foods with trans fats out of your grocery cart when possible, keeping an eye out for alternatives.

Don’t fry your foods. If you have to cook with oil, use canola or safflower oil which will be lower in saturated and trans fats.

Also, choose lean meats and fish to limit the amount of trans fats and saturated fats your family consumes.

Discovering Your Passion and Purpose

December 30th, 2008

“I can’t seem to discover why I’m on the planet.”

“What is my purpose here? I know there’s something I’m supposed to be doing, but I don’t know how to find out what it is.”

“I don’t seem to be passionate about anything.”

I’ve heard these complaints over and over from my clients.

Discovering our passion and purpose is vital to our joy and well-being. The problem is that many people have lost touch with any sense of their passion and purpose and have no idea how to access this information.

The blueprint for this information lies within our core Self, our essence, the true Self that is often buried during our early years. If our true Self was not seen and validated by our parents, teachers, or other caregivers, it is likely to have gone underground. The self many of know as our “self” is generally our wounded self, our ego, the self we created to get love and avoid pain. Our wounded self has within it all of our fears and false beliefs, and does not have access to what is true for us.

How, then, do we discover our passion and purpose if the blueprint for this information is long buried? The good news is that while it is buried, it is not lost. Anyone can reclaim this information if you are willing to do the inner work of healing your wounded self.

I’ve worked with thousands of clients who, as they practice the Inner Bonding process that I teach (see our FREE course at www.innerbonding.com), gradually heal their fears and false, limiting beliefs to the point where their true Self comes peeking out. This is the vital, alive aspect of ourselves, the aspect of us that just wants to joyfully express ourselves in the world. As you allow this aspect to emerge, you will gradually discover what truly brings you joy.

In our society, we tend to ignore our special talents and choose our careers according to what will give us a sense of security. Too often, however, what makes us feel safe does not fulfill us spiritually. For example, Roger worked for many years as an attorney, but he never enjoyed it. He made lots of money, yet when he consulted with me he was suffering from anxiety and depression. He had become an attorney because his father had been an attorney and wanted Roger to follow in his footsteps. Roger had gone along with what his father wanted for him because he didn’t know what else he wanted and now, in midlife, he was miserable. He yearned to discover his passion.

A few months after starting to practice Inner Bonding, Roger remembered that he had really wanted to be a teacher. He had never seriously considered teaching because he felt he couldn’t make enough money, but now he was willing to make far less money because he was so unhappy with his present work. Roger went back to school and got his teaching credential and is now a high school social studies teacher. The last time I spoke with him he was radiant! He loved working with adolescents, and he felt he was making a real contribution to their lives. For the first time ever, he felt alive and passionate about his life. His wife decided to take up some of the financial slack by doing something she had always wanted to do: design children’s clothing. She started her own mail-order business and is thrilled with it. Their marriage and family life is flourishing because both of them are happy and fulfilled within themselves.

Ricki came to see me because she was so unhappy working as a controller of a big import business. Yet she had no idea what else she wanted to do. It took about a year of practicing Inner Bonding before her true Self told her that she wanted to be a nutritionist. Ricki hadn’t wanted to hear her true Self because she didn’t want to go back to school. Finally she was so unhappy that she decided to listen. She is now back in school enjoying discovering her passion.

While it may not always be possible to change your work immediately to something you love, if you follow your passion, it will often lead you there. And even when you have to earn money in ways that do not express your soul, you can seek volunteer opportunities and hobbies to express who you are. Often these can lead to the work that you will eventually do.

Alfredo worked as a manager of a large supermarket. With his small savings, he decided to start pursuing a hobby that had always fascinated him - restoring old cars. He used all his extra money to buy his first old car and spent many blissful hours restoring it. He was so good at it, he was able to sell his restored cars for a lot of money. Eventually he was able to quit his job at the market and pursue his passion full time. Ultimately he started a project in a prison teaching inmates to restore cars. Alfredo now loves what he does and receives great satisfaction from helping others.

Your soul has a deep desire for you to express yourself in ways that brings you joy. It is your job to discover what that is and to bring it about.

Unleash Your True Potential

December 30th, 2008

Some time ago I attended a birthday party and met a young guy who just happened to be 30. I say young because when you’re 47, that is a young age!

He told me about his career in a major corporate company where he’s been working for the past 3 years.

John was complaining about the extremely long hours he works…sometimes from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. weekdays and often on weekends. He bemoaned the fact he was tired and stressed and so was everyone else he worked with.

I asked him why he continued working these hours and he answered “It’s expected. People are being retrenched and those remaining want to keep their jobs”.

He felt that if he didn’t do these ridiculous hours he too would be out of work.

My next question was “what are you going to do about your situation to change it?”. John responded with “nothing”. He had no energy left to work on his own life.

I had also asked him if he had done any personal development courses and he replied he had participated in company run ones. He had never invested his own time and money doing anything external.

Take Control Yourself

I’ve found that those people who do not invest time and money in themselves and rely on their employer to pay for their development, dance to someone else’s tune. They leave their future in someone else’s hands.

In fact most people drift along in life taking whatever is dished out to them.

They cannot ‘be bothered’ investing any extra time, money or energy in themselves. It’s much easier to float with the crowd.

Take Stock of Yourself

We’re half way through another year. Have you achieved your goals this year? Have you made positive changes in the areas of relationships, finances, career, health and fitness etc.

Are you better off this year, than last year? Are you moving forwards or backwards in your life? Are you happy?

Are You Happy?

This is an interesting question to ask yourself. Are you going through the motions of living day-day or are you excited about where you are heading?

The Final Word

If you want to be the leader of your life rather than the follower, you’ll need to take action. And when do you take action? Right now.

If you don’t know where to head off to, get yourself a life coach. You will be amazed at how quickly you will move forward in the right direction.

Don’t need help? Can do it by yourself? That’s great. Then what are you waiting for?

Get moving today.
