A Simple Way to Feel Better and Be More Attractive

Life Coach Advice

As we rush through our busy days accomplishing our tasks- work, kids, shopping, cleaning, and eating on the go, we often complain that we don’t feel good. It is important that we take an active conscious roll in how we feel. By just slowing down and taking a few seconds for yourself, there is a simple and effective way to feel better throughout the day and be more attractive. All you have to do is smile more.

Smiling changes your attitude, whether you realize it or not. If you have any doubts, the next time you feel down, start smiling and thinking positive thoughts and see what happens.

You can’t help but have a better attitude when you smile.

Smiling also raises your confidence.

Smiling affects our emotions because of a brain-body connection. It triggers scientifically measurable activity in the left frontal cortex, the area of the brain where happiness is registered.

We also instantly become more attractive when we smile. Admit it, when someone is smiling, aren’t you drawn in? Don’t you enjoy that person’s company more? We all do. Smiling is an important part of connecting and getting to know someone.

In fact, there is science dedicated to the study of facial expressions and responses called FACS – Facial Action Coding System. Your face has 44 muscles between the skin, cartilage, blood, and bone that you flex and contort. This lets you make over 5,000 different types of expressions. That’s a lot of expressions! Moreover, each will have a different affect on your feelings and those looking at you.

It is amazing how good smiling is. As your life-coach, I offer you this push. I want you to smile. Go ahead. SMILE!

Let’s do it again but this time breathe in through your nose, let it out through your mouth and smile as you let the air out. Doesn’t that feel good? The breathing is very important. Your nostrils are attached to the limbic system. The limbic system controls your emotions, and when you breathe in deep through your nose, it has a calming effect on you. So breathe in and smile.

Let’s add a final touch, positive thinking. It doesn’t hurt to get excited and say to yourself out loud, “I feel good and I am taking control and finding my opportunities!” Go ahead and do it. Feel that positive energy in your body and the release of tension.

Now that you know how good smiling is for you, make a conscious effort to use this smile exercise a minimum of six times throughout your day. When you smile, remember to breathe in through your nose and think positive thoughts. This I guarantee will make a positive impact on your day and in your life.

In fact, the result from this simple exercise will have a huge effect because a basic fact about energy is that energy is attracted to energy of a similar frequency. So when you smile not only will you be making yourself feel better, you will also be attracting positive energy into your life.

So smile!

Why Even Bother With Time Management?

Friday, January 30th, 2009

We’ve all felt this way: There’s always someone else who seems completely in control and seems to manage every aspect of life with such skill. You ask yourself “Why can’t I be like that?” There were days when I would find myself late at night and have absolutely no idea what I had done that day. Everything just seemed like a blur and I went to bed feeling as though I had accomplished nothing. The very concept of time management just seems like another thing you don’t have time for, right? Why buy another day planner to gather dust on a table or a PDA that has no calendar entries and an endless to do list?

Inside your head you just keep screaming “no more,” but what is the alternative? How can any of us really take control and feel some sanity and sense of accomplishment in this information driven world? Understanding how to manage your time is essential in all business relations, school, home, and everyday life. Having the right tools can make it easy in time management, but having the right sense of empowerment and personal direction is critical in order to create a balance in all of the aspects of life which we must be able to manage in order to live a happy, productive and meaningful life.

You have the same 24 hours in the day as everyone else. It’s your time. It doesn’t belong to someone else so take possession of it now. When we talk about time management, we’re not really managing time. We’re managing ourselves. It’s not just about learning when to say no. It’s about learning how to say yes to the things that are important to you and give them the priority they deserve. Instead of scrambling to prioritize your schedule, you need to seize a new paradigm and schedule your priorities. Not every bit of information in this book is going to fix the exact needs of how you have chosen to live your life, but by adding context and some approaches to the way you manage your time you will find that you have enough hours in the day. You will find the success that you deserve and the sense of well being and peace of mind will be your biggest reward.

Time management is about self-mastery. The wind of time blows the same on us all. It’s how we accept that wind and allow ourselves to be moved by it that makes the difference between those who sail past all others and those who are dead in the water. Developing skills in time management is like learning how to set the sail of life in a way that creates the outcome you want, and by doing so you’ll always find the shores you seek.

The Good Husband’s Guide

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Today’s wife has much to do, in which includes many roles in her life: wife, mother, teacher, employee, co-worker, and friend. She’s much to busy to sit at home preparing dinner for her man everyday, and making sure the children are quiet when he walks in the door after a hard day at work. She also has had a hard day at work, be it in the work place, working from home or the hardest job of them all – raising children.

Pick up the children from daycare. Sometimes she has to work late too and could use the extra few minutes for a breather. This lets her know you are thinking of her and care about her needs.

Have dinner prepared. Let her know you are concerned for the way she feels after work, have her favorite dish ready.

Prepare yourself. Take a few minutes to de-funk yourself after your hard day at work. Remember, those times of closeness, she doesn’t want to smell the rottenness of the day.

Clean the children. Get their baths done early so family time isn’t bothered with a bunch of ‘must-do’ before bedtime.

If you want to go out for the night, check with your wife, she might have plans. After all, someone does need to watch the children. There also might be a dinner function the two of you need to attend. Going with her to a career dinner lets her know you care about her work as well as your own.

Over the cold months, you should start a fire so she has a nice warm place to come to at the end of her day. Your wife will feel as if she’s reached a haven of peace.

Over the hot months, make sure the air conditioner is in excellent condition. Nothing adds to a stressful day more than heat.

Be happy to see her, not just have a pencil in your pocket, and be really happy to see her. Let her know she is the only one for you. Greet her with warmth and respect.

Listen to her. Her problems are just as important as yours are, if not more so. Let her speak first; adhere to the rule, ladies first.

Make the evening hers. Run her a bubble bath, so her relaxation can continue on, pour her a glass of wine or her favorite beverage. Spark a few candles around the tub; it’s a big gesture that will take you a long way.

Don’t complain. She works just as hard as you do, if not more so. Children are hard work to raise and dealing with them all day is stressful.

Speak soothingly to her at all times. The worst is having a man’s rough, harsh voice raised about something that is of no importance.

Don’t ask questions you don’t want answers to. Don’t judge her.

Be respectful. This goes both ways and is a huge rule in life to get carry through on.

Be trustful. A wife needs a husband she can believe and doesn’t need to worry about his running around doing “single” things. Always remember, ‘what is good for the goose is good for the gander’.

Pick up after yourself. You married her for a reason and it wasn’t to have her become your slave.

Think of her. Give her a back message releasing the week’s worth of stress from her body. Be nice; let her relax-without having to get a piece of action out of the deal.

All-in-all, stick to these guidelines and life will be perfect – your home life at any rate. Doing things for each other once in a while is a great way to keep a good marriage. Isn’t that what we all want in life? A smooth sailing ride that we can remember to get us through the rough times, I think so.

Games of Luck: Gaming Establishment Games

Monday, January 26th, 2009

Assuming you haven’t got the picture on betting establishment games, then please keep reading.

casino bonus

By common definition a casino is a building that accomodates friendly gambling. Here, patrons are invited to gamble by challenging the coin-operated machines or trying out alternate pastimes. Betting hall games in the main include 100% determined balances included which make sure the house maintains an interest above the betters. A huge number of betting saloon games can make you end up obsessed rapidly. We can consider the quintessential one-armed bandit, a coin operated instrument with three reels that swivel if an arm coupled to it is manipulated. The machine frequently remits corresponding with a series of emblems observable on the front of the gadget. Disastrously, gaming hall pastimes suggest the fantasy of supremacy, thus deluding the gamester — the participant is bestowed with options, but actually they will not really level the customer’s long-term odds. This is induced by the betting saloon not paying up the full wager as expected. This practice is repeatedly seen at work in famous casino games such as seven card stud poker, craps, roulette or blackjack.

Texas hold’em poker is definitely a very popular casino game. The gambling buffs, meticulously guarding their fully hidden cards, are betting in a principal pot which is given to the prevailing gamester owning the best set of cards. (Of course, the best bluffer can win too.) Much the same as five card stud, blackjack is also an immensely popular casino game. A lavish portion of its reputation is a result of its particular mix of luck and cunning and choice making, not to forget a practice identified as card counting. This is a highly complex technique through which gambling aficionados may dramatically change the winning odds of the card game to lend them an advantage by both betting and strategy decisions in agreement with the cards dealt. Craps is the name of yet another incredibly popular casino pastime based on the roll of 2 dice. Players place their money on the end result of 1 spin, or on a sequence of cycles of 2 dice. Contrary to blackjack, there’s absolutely no proven long term winner tactics punters could play on to improve the odds. Roulette is an immensely popular game of chance in which a croupier spins a roulette wheel that incorporates precisely thirtyseven (in the case of classical roulette) or, alternatively thirtyeight (American or Vegas roulette) uniquely tagged receptacles in which a tossed pellet will settle, which determines the winner as well as its sequences. When a participant has bet on a number and is successful meaning it’s their lucky day, the return is 35 to one, the initial bet itself is repaid. Ergo in total the initial bet is multiplied by thirty-six.

Do your best to be watchful though, as these gaming hall games are positively dependency building. Way too many lives have been damaged through addictive gambling and although it admittedly might be enjoyable, work to moderate oneself.

Closing Techniques to Make You More Money

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

Closing skills will be a great persuasive tool to get under your belt, and the sooner you do so the better. Remember, as the salespersonwhether you’re selling a product or trying to get your teenager to understand your point of viewyou are in an advisory role. You are your prospect’s advocate. The more you can operate in her/his best interest, the more s/he will sense this and agree to your input. The closing skills you have learned in this chapter will help you to persuade more effectively. Now, knowing the process, you will understand what is happening each step of the way and you will intuitively recognize where to guide your prospect. When you get these skills down, you will be pleasantly surprised that effective persuasion is an easy, fun and natural process.

In the beginning, you will experience moments of awkwardness when you forget exactly what to say or do. There will also be times when your prospects will throw you for a loop and you won’t remember how to respond. When this happens, don’t be too hard on yourself. As time goes on, you’ll experience a natural learning curve. Just make note of areas you’d like to strengthen and work on them along the way. This kind of conscientious attention will soon help you hone and polish your selling abilities. After every sales attempt, take the time to analyze the situation. What did you do well? What could you have done better?

1. Direct closeSimply ask for the sale. “Shall we get the process going for you?” “Sounds like a great fit! Are you ready to move forward?” “Let’s get the ball rolling, OK?”

2. Assumption closeRather than ask if your prospect wants to move forward or not, assume the sale and give her/him a choice of one option or another. This closing technique solidifies the sale. For example, “Would you like the blue or the green?” “Do you want it delivered, or will you be picking it up?” “Will that be cash or charge?”

3. Take-away closeWhen your prospect hesitates, say, “Just a minutelet me make sure we have this in your size.” “Let me see if we have this item in stock.” “Let me check with my manager.” “This product is not appropriate for you.” Closing strategies like these create the impulse to move ahead with the purchase so your prospects don’t forfeit their opportunity.

4. Summary closeRestate the list of benefits your prospects have cited as important to them and list them in order of priority. This closing strategy confirms and validates in your prospect’s mind all the valid reasons for the purchase. It also shows your prospect that you have been attentive and understand her/his needs.

5. Puppy-dog closeLet your prospects touch, taste, feel and experience the product or service as much as possible. Put them in the actual situation, either literally or through helping them create a vivid imaginary experience. This closing strategy helps the prospect become attached.

6. Pro-con closeWalk the prospect through the thinking process. On a piece of paper, draw a line down the middle and write down factors that help your prospects compare and contrast how many more pros your product has than cons. This closing strategy is excellent for analytical personalities.

7. Order-sheet closeFill in the order sheet from the start of the conversation. This closing strategy reinforces a subconscious commitment on your prospects’ part. If they hesitate, explain that the form just helps you get all the details. In completing the form, be clear on what your prospects are looking for. Assure them that if they aren’t ready to make a decision, the order form will not be processed.

8. The relevant-story closePeople think in terms of stories. Relate to your prospects the experience of another client in a similar situation who moved forward and was very happy with her/his decision. This closing strategy also works in the reverse: someone who did not purchase and later regretted it.

9. Ascending closePose a series of questions to your prospects that will all elicit a “yes” response and lead to the point of purchase as the obvious step to take. This closing strategy reinforces subconscious affirmation of the product’s benefits and ability to meet your prospects’ needs. “Yeses” increase desire, while “nos” decrease desire.

10. Reduce-to-the-ridiculous closeBreak down your product’s costs into minute units: “For a mere 22 cents a day, you can enjoy the benefits of our product.” “You can change your life by investing only 50 cents a day.”

11. Real-reason closeAfter you have tried everything, thank your prospects for their time. They will then sense that the exchange is ending, so their resistance will subside. Ask your prospect something like this: “Mr. Smith, I tried to present the information the best I knew how. What is the real reason you did not buy today?” After receiving an answer, see if you can address the concern and re-close.

Last but not least, remember that in this process, everyone wins. Salespeople are what make the world turn. You will often be the one who nudges a person just enough so that s/he’ll take action. There are countless things that would remain undone if it were not for a sales rep’s guidance and instruction. In the end, your prospect is happy because you gave her/him the courage to act, and you’re happy because you know you’ve made a difference.

Web Design Tools – San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Japan

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

Web designing entails use of a whole gamut of tools – for text, graphics, menus, animation, navigation design, color selection, font selection, authoring, programming and ecommerce development. The use of technologically advanced and effective tools ensure that the website attracts target audience and lists high in the search engines and directories.

Different tools are used in different aspects of web designing. Text links use HTML meta tags, graphic links use graphics along with navigation buttons, drop down menus use JavaScript and CGI among others, and special effects need tools such as Macromedia Flash and Adobe Photoshop. By far, Macromedia and Adobe Photoshop are the most commonly used tools in web design. Certain graphic designers also use Macromedia DreamWeaver. Flash helps in animation that if used well, can be an attractive feature in a website. Visual Basic is the most common language for scripting and SQL with other database engines are used for database management on the website. Templates are also used for the layout of a web page.

Apart from tools that make the site presentable and easily navigable, there are also content creation tools that help in creating Search Engine Optimized content. A word or a phrase, based on the worldwide searches is rated on tools such as Overture. Once the most popularly searched words in your industry are identified and short-listed, the content creators write content using these search words. This ensures that your website lists high in the search engines and directories. A combination of the right HTML text, background images, and graphic images with the right and most legible typefaces and fonts are required if the website has to be popular among your target audience.

Web promotion and ecommerce tools help in marketing your website. Pay-Per-Click Search Engine Promotion, Loyalty Programs, Email Campaigns and Online Games are some tools used for website promotion. Tools such as site statistics software and reporting from site searches let you know what exactly your visitors are looking for. The content and marketing strategies are then adjusted accordingly.

Apart from the tools, designing a good website also requires the skills and expertise of a range of professionals. A web site must essentially be written, programmed, and designed for the end users. A site that is written, coded and designed for user friendliness and search engine visibility gets the most traffic and results in boosting sales. Again, understanding the products, services or information that your target audience is looking for is important in the design, maintenance and re-design of your website.

Why to Have a Website for Your Company

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

After having decided to start a business, the next thing that arrives in your mind is How to market the Product/Service? How to create a brand? How to recruit people? How & where to advertise? etc… Next is creating departments like Marketing, Operations, Advertising, Branding and Human Resource. You need some way to represent each department…

For example Human Resource needs a way to represent the company to hire talents, marketing team needs someway to represent products/services, branding team needs a way to represent the company overall… As a startup you can’t make huge investment to represent your company by giving ads in news paper or through sign boards or through hoardings or any other means…

One of the cheap & efficient ways to represent your business is through a website… Let me tell you about the advantages of having a website

• It is cheap
• Your company goes global if you have a website
• Most online advertising is cheap
• Saves time

Likewise there are many more advantages… Ok let me take you in detail about the above mentioned points… To create a web site you need a domain name and hosting space (You can Google to find a cheap domain registrar & host), then the next thing is content (also there are many freelance content writers) or you can do it by yourself if you are good in it… Then you need to have a good web design (http://www.templatemuseum.com sells ready to use corporate designs)… With all these things you can launch a website for less than $50 – $100…

If you launch a prospectus representing your company its reach is only local, by having a website for the company you are going global & your reach goes beyond territories…

Unlike news paper advertising, sign board advertising, television advertising online advertising is cheap & worth it, because

• In online advertising you can advertise to your targeted audience
• Online advertising are global

Normally these are the steps that is involved in marketing

Step 1 : Making appointments
Step 2 : Give an introduction about the company
Step 3 : Give a brief about the product / service
Step 4 : Show a demo
Step 5 : Close the deal

Having a website we need not make appointments, give a brief about the company & product/service, your website will talk for you… So you can eliminate Step 1, 2 & 3… Same can apply to Human Resource & Advertising too… So it saves time…

Also you are bound to get enquiries from search engines, online directories etc… So you have possibilities of getting new opportunities without any effort.

I’d like to make a point clear that having a website doesn’t mean you are done with everything, it is just a supporting medium to represent your company & can help in simplifying many process… So, it is recommended to use it as a support for your business & follow your traditional way of business too…

I hope this article must have helped. Please drop in your feedback to anand@templatemuseum.com.

Procure Discount Cycling Tools on the Web Today

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

There are a few things you will require to acquire when you start cycling. The 1st and most clear is a good bike that suits you! Although that might seem like a no-brainer, stacks of people begin out on bicycles that are too little, or made with very poor quality parts, simply because they are a great deal less expensive. The right fit & a well manufactured bicycle can make your outing a lot better, but, don’t be persuaded to bargain shop for your bike. However, it will be better in the long run to acquire one that will survive you a great amount of time. As soon as you have a bike that’s correct for you, it is time to procure the other cycling items that will help you to become a regular cyclist. Find great offers on cycling jerseys.

Lights: The minimum required by United Kingdom law for your bike is a few reflectors. Nonetheless a headlight & tail light are great even during the day. When it is dark & rainy, they can make a vast difference in your visibility to vehicles.

Tools: Just like driving a vehicle, accidents do come about while you’re on your bike. Therefore, it is important to keep some sort of tool kit with you at all times to take care of flat tires, uncooperative chains, loose bolts & other issues.

Helmet: Whilst it’s legal in the majority of places to go without a helmet, in a lot of others, one is mandatory. If you are aiming to cycle on a regular basis, it’s clever to have one even in places where no helmet law exists.

Clothing: Although special cycling clothing is certainly optional, it’s intelligent to pay attention to what you’re wearing. Loose garments should be prevented, or tucked up so they don’t get caught in the chain.

Locks: Unless you are lucky enough to live in a place where you can store your bicycle inside all the time, padlock is essential. Even in the countryside, there are individuals who will gladly nick and resell your bicycle.

Breaking Bad Habits – 5 Simple Steps for Changing a Habit

Monday, January 19th, 2009

“Good habits are hard to develop but easy to live with” and “Bad habits are easy to develop but hard to live with”, according to Brian Tracey, a well-known motivational teacher. You may recognize that to successfully manage habit changes, breaking bad habits may be required in order to develop new ones.

Breaking bad habits takes at least 21 days. Of course, in difficult cases, it can take as long as a year. Here’s an example of the process of how to change an unhealthy habit to a healthy habit. Suppose you’ve decided that coffee is not good for you and right now, you drink coffee with sugar daily. The new habit you would like to institute is to drink herbal tea without sugar.

At first, it may be challenging to break the bad habit of drinking coffee. You will have to use self-discipline for the first few weeks but gradually it will get easier. Once you are able to change the old habit to a new healthier one, it will serve you very well. Habits are remarkable because they don’t require thinking. You just “do it” for years until you find yourself changing the habit again.

Here are 5 easy steps for changing habits:

1. Awareness: You must become aware of your habits. What is this habit exactly? How is this bad habit or group of bad habits affecting you? How is this habit affecting others? For example, smoking often has negative effects on others as well as on you.

2. Wanting to Change: As someone with a health problem, you must decide that breaking bad habits through a conscious effort is a worthy goal. You must convince yourself that the change in the habit is worth the effort involved.

3. Commitment: You must be determined to do whatever it takes for breaking bad habits so that you can better control your life. You make a decision that “no matter what” you will change the habit. You do the work required to stop. Here are some examples of habits you might want to change: Smoking, eating too much, eating processed foods, not exercising, drinking coffee or other beverages with caffeine in them, eating too much sugar or fat, drinking alcohol, procrastinating, etc.

4. Consistent Action: It is important to focus on changing just one habit at a time. Then, take consistent daily actions for breaking the bad habit that has been causing problems and take the actions to develop a new one. We suggest doing this process one step at a time rather than trying to do it all at once. Sometimes changing a habit can be done “cold turkey” like smoking and sometimes it works better to make a gradual change.

Be sure to give yourself positive rewards often for taking small actions toward changing a bad habit. Continual day-by-day actions are what are critical. This is NOT about an occasional action or step. It is about being consistent every day.

5. Perseverance: There will be times when you question whether it is all worth it. You’ll say to yourself that breaking these bad habits is too difficult; that you are too “weak” to change. Your old self, often so comfortable living with the bad habits, is trying to hold on. Breaking your old patterns may require meditation and prayer.

Visualize regularly the rewards for following through and the costs of not following through on breaking the bad habits and especially the value to your future of building new better habits.

Get support from others, especially other people who want to make changes in their lives and read about people who have been successful in breaking bad habits. Affirm that, no matter what, you will not backslide into your old bad habit patterns.

Now, you are armed with a 5-step process for breaking any bad habit or other condition that requires changing. If you have an addiction to something such as alcohol, these steps alone may not be enough. You may require additional professional help or a support group, but for most cases this 5-step process will do the trick!
